Commercial & Industrial construction projects come in various types that general contractors build. How to quote your project and how it’s handled depends on the size of the overall project. We can throw projects into 3 different scales of commercial and industrial construction:

Small-scale

Smaller projects such as small office construction, structure updates or additions, and many building repairs fall under small-scale commercial construction. For business owners thinking of rebranding, opening up spaces, or adding extensions to the structure, these would fall under small-scale commercial construction. This is typically more affordable route and requires the least amount of  personnel and generally speaking the smaller equipment types.

Medium-scale

Medium-scale commercial construction projects are for business owners or investors that are needing more hands on deck, new structures, and a few large pieces of equipment, or other more time-consuming projects. Medium sized construction usually involves multiple areas of services such as land clearing, construction, asphalt paving, or demolition.

Large-scale

Last but not least are large-scale commercial construction projects. These generally all start from the ground up or require a major overhaul to the project site. The construction crew will work with an architect or developer to create a new structure that’s entirely based on the business owner’s vision. Large-scale commercial construction projects require a lot of time, preparation, and development to ensure a successful build. After the purchase of the land and the zoning codes, construction is typically ready to start. There may be some other elements that infringe on the development of construction, such as the demolition of an older structure.
